Melanie Jones

After a first degree at Cambridge University in Modern and Medieval Languages and an early career as a translator, copywriter and graphic designer, Melanie subsequently gained a BSc (Hons) in Psychology through the Open University, an MA in Integrative Counselling and subsequently qualified as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist through Reading University.  She works as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with adults and teenagers and offers CBT supervision to qualified practitioners and trainees, face-to-face or by Skype/telephone.  She also offers CBT to Spanish-speaking clients.

Alongside her private practice, Melanie works as a provider of onsite intervention / post-trauma support for organisations following critical incidents such as terrorist attacks, industrial accidents and sudden deaths in the workplace. She is also a qualified workplace conflict mediator.

Since the late 1990s, Melanie has worked as an executive coach and trainer in public and private sector organisations, including London Underground and the Civil Service. She currently works as an Associate Tutor for Oxford Said Business School on a number of the School's management and leadership programmes.

Mary Bennett

BABCP Accredited CBT Practitioner, Supervisor and Trainer, Dip Clin Psych, BA (Hons) Philosophy and Psychology, Post Graduate Certificate in Education.

After a first degree at Oxford University in Philosophy and Psychology, Mary qualified as Clinical Psychologist. She subsequently worked for many years in the NHS as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist.  During this period, she worked with all age groups and diagnoses.

 Mary now specialises in CBT and has a particular interest in working with young people aged 11-25. She is also a qualified teacher with experience of working in both mainstream education and Social Services.

 Mary is an experienced Clinical Supervisor and CBT Trainer. She has contributed to CBT training at both Reading University and the Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre where she also offered Clinical Supervision.  She continues to do this at OCTC.

 Mary now offers Private Supervision to both qualified therapists and to those in training.  She can offer this via Skype if necessary and presently provides Supervision to those living abroad. She is also happy to listen to therapist tapes and to provide feedback.
