Melanie Jones

After a first degree at Cambridge University in Modern and Medieval Languages and an early career as a translator, copywriter and graphic designer, Melanie subsequently gained a BSc (Hons) in Psychology through the Open University, an MA in Integrative Counselling and subsequently qualified as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist through Reading University.  She works as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with adults and teenagers and offers CBT supervision to qualified practitioners and trainees, face-to-face or by Skype/telephone.  She also offers CBT to Spanish-speaking clients.

Alongside her private practice, Melanie works as a provider of onsite intervention / post-trauma support for organisations following critical incidents such as terrorist attacks, industrial accidents and sudden deaths in the workplace. She is also a qualified workplace conflict mediator.

Since the late 1990s, Melanie has worked as an executive coach and trainer in public and private sector organisations, including London Underground and the Civil Service. She currently works as an Associate Tutor for Oxford Said Business School on a number of the School's management and leadership programmes.

Sherin Varghese

Sherin is a postgraduate from Oxford University, who is currently pursuing her doctoral training at Liverpool University. Since 2016, she has worked in mental health and physical health services, both in the public and private sector with adults and children.  

Sherin is currently pursuing her full BABCP accreditation and is currently supervised by Melanie Jones, who was also her clinical supervisor during her time at Oxford University. Sherin mainly has an interest in working with Social Anxiety, OCD, Depression and PTSD. 

Sherin also has an interest in bridging the gap between mental and physical health and, as a result, is involved in various research projects both in the UK and internationally. Her doctoral training has a similar focus.  

Sherin also supports undergraduate and MSc students in their path to a clinical doctorate and provides regular mentoring support.
